The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be hosted in Pakistan, with select matches involving India scheduled to be played at a neutral venue in Dubai. This decision was made after discussions between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding security concerns. Pakistan was originally granted the sole hosting rights for the tournament, but due to geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan, an agreement was reached to stage India’s matches in the UAE. Dubai International Cricket Stadium has been chosen as the primary venue for these matches, ensuring a safe environment for players and fans. The Champions Trophy, which returns after an eight-year hiatus, will feature the top eight teams in the ICC ODI rankings.
